Well, we've hit the ground running, so to speak. Our first house event was on Friday, Sept 17. We invited the whole campus to come to our backyard for a corn roast and apple cider. We bought all the corn we could find in Northfield, and this was rather difficult because corn was harvested early this year. But all the corn was grown locally, and we got apple cider from Fireside Orchard... just up the road! We think there might have been 180 to 200 people in our backyard over the course of two hours, and it seems that everyone enjoyed themselves. We didn't have enough corn, but we all enjoyed the music making of St Olaf students strumming guitars, pounding drums, and singing beautiful harmonies...
This must be a community!
More to come,

Cornerstone quote...
"Eating with the fullest pleasure - pleasure, that is, that does not depend on ignorance - is perhaps the profoundest enactment of our connection with the world. In this pleasure we experience our dependence and our gratitude, for we are living in a mystery, from creatures we did not make and powers we cannot comprehend."
